SDPDB Pughoboto fetes UPSC rank holder, school toppers

DIMAPUR — The Sub Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) Pughoboto felicitated UPSC All India Rank 431 Tolino K Chishi, HSLC and HSSLC toppers at the felicitation-cum-SDPDB meeting held at Pughoboto town on Thursday.

The programme was chaired by Dr. Sukhato A Sema, the legislator representing Pughoboto assembly seat, a DIPR report stated.

The MLA and ADC Tiameren Chang felicitated UPSC AIR 431 Tolino K Chishi, CISF AC (EXE) LDC L Esther Sumi, HSSLC 8th rank Jevi Futhena and HSLC 8th rank Vini R Sheqi, in the presence of civil society organisations including Sumi Aphuyemi Totimi Hoho, Sumi Aphuyemi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu, Sumi Aphuyemi Kukami Hoho and other SDPDB members.

Tolino expressed her happiness and heartfelt gratitude to all Sumi Aphuyemis and entire Sumi community for the prayers and support throughout the three stages of UPSC examination. “This achievement is not only a personal milestone but a milestone of all Sumis and Sumi Aphuyemis,” she said.

Dr. Sukhato congratulated Tolino for being the first amongst the Sumi Aphuyemis to pass the prestigious UPSC Examination. Citing the exemplary achievement of Tolino, he encouraged the HSSLC and HSLC toppers to pursue greater achievements in the future too.

Congratulating the successful aspirant and the students, Tiameren Chang expressed happiness and conveyed his best wishes for their future endeavours.

After deliberating on the agendas during the SDPDB meeting, the board recommended the construction of veterinary dispensary, construction of veterinary doctor and staff quarters and renovation of SATWO guest house at Pughoboto. Rationalisation of teachers within Pughoboto sub-division was also recommended and SDPDB Educational Trust Fund was agreed upon by all members for a monthly collection of minimum INR 500 for the welfare of the student community.
