Governor advises students to promote unity

DIMAPUR — Nagaland Governor, La. Ganesan, has advised the students to develop inquisitive spirit and learn about people and places wherever they go and promote unity.

Ganesan stated this while interacting with the students during the flag-in and welcoming programme of the national integration tour (NIT) held at Raj Bhavan in Kohima on Tuesday. He advised the students to develop inquisitive spirit and learn about the people and the places whenever they go and visit new places.

Also highlighting the special feature of India which is characterised by “Unity of diversity,” he urged them to promote unity wherever they go. The governor also thanked the organisers for the initiative to provide the students with a pan Indian exposure and insight into the diverse cultural heritage of India, stated an update from Raj Bhavan.

The flag–in programme was attended by officers and staff of Raj Bhavan, PRO Assam Rifles and team as well as officers and jawans from the 16 Kumaon Regiment.

It mentioned that the national integration tour was organised by Indian army in which a total of 19 students from villages surrounding Chakabama visited Naga Regimental Centre in Ranikhet, Indian Military Academy in Dehradun, Rashtriya Indian Military College in Dehradun, Kartavya Path, Rashtrapati Bhavan, malls, and educational Institutes in New Delhi and other important places.

The tour was flagged off by Lieutenant General HS Sahi, GOC of Spear Corps, in Dimapur on September 27 under the banner “A journey to envision your future, experience the pride and take the leap of success.” The tour was led by Lt. Col. Gomit Dubey.
