Health dept. conducts reproductive child health camp at Nyiro
Dimapur, March 13 (EMN): Health and Family Welfare department, Wokha division, organised a reproductive child health (RCH) camp at Nyiro Primary Health Centre on March 12.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Dr. Zuben Kikon, deputy chief medical officer (CMO), Wokha, stated that RCH camp was organised to make healthcare services more accessible in rural areas, an update from CMO office stated. He urged the residents of Niroyo, Yimkha and Yanthamo villages to avail free healthcare services.
Dr. Kikon also encouraged the beneficiaries to complete their Covid-19 vaccination schedule to develop strong immunity.
Also speaking on the occasion, chairman of Yanthamo village council, Yitsabemo Odyuo, has appreciated the medical team for conducting the RCH camp. He stated that the village council is cooperating with medical staff to sensitise the villagers on Covid-19 and other diseases.
Report stated that the medical team had screened more than hundred beneficiaries and services such as red blood sugar test, blood pressure, sterilisation, family planning counseling, health check-up and distribution of medicines were carried out at the one day health camp.
