MGM School organises poster campaign

Dimapur, March 13 (EMN): MGM Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, organised a poster campaign against all form of wars and aggressions in the world on March 12, where more than 60 students from classes 4 to 11 took part by creating posters and collages to express their concern over the people who suffer miseries and destruction due to wars.

In his message to the students and faculty, the school vice president, Rev. Fr. Dr. PS Varghese, said that peace and reconciliation is a major study across the world. He further stated that people need a ‘peace loving, peace living and peace practicing communities in the world.’

Addressing students in the morning assembly, the school principal, Reji Abraham, urged the students to keep their eyes and ears open to see and hear not only the  good things happening around them but also to see and hear the miseries and pains of people especially during a war. He stated that students need to be sensitive towards issues concerning the world and should learn to react to it.

“We can expect for a better world without war and aggression only when young people have a heart to understand others’ misery,” he said. He further congratulated all the students who have participated in the poster campaign.
