Two donate potted plants to Kohima Municipal Council

Kohima, July 19 (EMN): Two gentlemen, who wished to remain anonymous, donated potted plants to the office of the Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) on July 18.

Confirming this, a KMC official expressed gratitude for their selfless act stating that it was a “mighty boost and a huge add on the green line.” Terming the act as an ‘unprecedented attempt,’ he remarked that if all citizens chip in, they can surely place potted plants and flowers all along the city roadsides from the southern till the northern end.

Impressed with the gesture, the official expressed that Kohima can have a new and great look. He also added that maintenance could always be shared and delegated adding that some stretches could even be adopted by some organisations.

If anyone is willing to donate, he encouraged them to let them know of their intent stating that KMC would be pleased to receive them at anytime of the day. He added that willing donors could even place it by themselves and expand the ‘green line.’

On Sunday, the KMC administrator updated that ten more potted plants were placed within the office premises.
