FGN mourns demise

Dimapur, May 17 (EMN): Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has mourned the untimely demise of Lt. Col. Miusian, 2nd Battalion 1st B’de W/C Naga Army, who passed away on May 17 in his native village under Zeliangrong region.

Gen. Tavecho Lala, C-in-C Naga Army, stated that Lt. Col. Miusian, son of Sikupou of Mukti village, joined the Naga Army on February 15, 1959, and faithfully served the nation till his death. Besides, he successfully carried out the assigned duties in the Alee Command to East Pakistan.

Describing Lt. Col. Miusian as a patriot, he lamented that his untimely demise was a loss to the nation and community and added that his sacrifice and patriotic service rendered to the nation would always remain alive in the history of Naga nation.

He has further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed that Almighty God would grant them comfort in their hour of grief and sorrow. He also prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
