18,282 stranded Nagaland citizens register to return

Kohima, May 11 (EMN): The signing up on the ‘Returnee Declaration Form’ by stranded people who wish to return to Nagaland ended at 12 noon on May 11, and as many as 18,282 persons have registered.
Principal Director of School Education, Shanavas C, who is also the in-charge of stranded citizens of Nagaland outside the state, informed this to Eastern Mirror.
He stated that Bangalore and Delhi had the highest number of registrations with over 3,000 people.
The official maintained that the government is yet to make a final decision on when it should bring the stranded citizens back.
He however added that they are working on ‘plans and modalities that would be best for the people’.
Meanwhile, Shanavas informed that commercial trains would begin to operate from Delhi to Dibrugarh from May 12. He also added that commercial trains would be coming to Dimapur regularly from May 14 onwards.
