10 bedded hospital for Central Jail

Dimapur District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) has recommended for construction of hospital at Central Jail and also discussed on encroachment of government land as well as measures to curb the problem.
The issues were taken up for discussion during the monthly meeting on June 5 in the DC’s conference hall chaired by the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, N Hushili Sema.
After thorough discussion on the importance of a hospital at Central Jail, the Board gave recommendation and agreed to write to the appropriate authority for construction of 10 bedded hospital. It was also discussed that the Central jail staff would look for a suitable site for construction while other technical equipments and other logistics would be over managed by the Medical Department.
Participating in the discussion, Revenue Officer Henok Phom spoke on the matter of land encroachment in government land. To curb the problem, he called for action participation, cooperation and alertness from all the concerned. He has appealed the government employees not to connive with the private individuals which were the case for encroaching into government lands.
On the matter of 4 laning from Dhansiri to Zubza, the Deputy Commissioner called on all concerned department to involve and contribute for smooth execution of the work activities.
The Board also gave recommendation for opening of a new school namely Royal Academy School at Khehoi village under Niuland sub-division, change of nomenclature of Hoplongpor Memorial School at Dhansiripar to Ebenezer School and Grand-in-aid to 25 schools in the district.
Earlier, departmental activities were presented by Flood & Civil Supplies and Land Resources department. During the interaction, the Deputy Commissioner suggested that over lapping of schemes and project should be avoided and called on the Agri- and allied departments to coordinate with one another to avoid such incidents.
The Department of Horticulture and Medical were asked to give their activities report in the next meeting.
