DIMAPUR, JUNE 22

THE Youth Association of Nagaland (YAN) has applauded the action plan taken by the Zunheboto Town Youth Organization (ZTYO), ZCCI, OTYF, ZTGBA, STH-Z, FFDU and vehicle owners’ association/union, etc, towards safeguarding the rights and security of the public.
It is worth mentioning that the civil societies of Zunheboto on June 20 has done a great job for bringing about more understanding with NPGs then to resort to negative provocation and differences.
“Every bonafide Naga is a born patriot but one unfortunate fact is factionalism (multiple Naga political groups) has brought about total embarrassment and irreparable damages in our society,” said the communiqué issued by YAN president Hetoi Chishi and general secretary Zhalie Chüzho.
YAN felt that the patriotic instinct of the Nagas is sadly been suppressed through so many unnecessary activities of the NGPs which has created ample space in the minds of the young people to develop hatred and non-confidence towards all the Naga national workers
“The only option ahead of us (Nags) could be an effort of senses to come together and form one government to pursue common goal before it is too late,” it said.
“Taxation, extortion, kidnapping, rape, intimidation, killings, etc, all these qualities are been excellently committed enough and which has installed so many questions in the minds of the younger generation of the Nagas. All the leaders and every Naga national workers of different groups at this juncture are expected to come forward and co-ordinate with the civil societies to work towards common vision and salvage the future of the Nagas,” the communiqué said.
While YAN further urged upon all the youth associations/organizations of different districts to work boldly and dedicatedly in their respective districts and coordinate with the other civil societies so as to bring about similar examples set out by Zunheboto district.
“We have every right to protect and respect our inherited tradition and culture and therefore every Naga youth should be working on measures to allow the law to take proper course of action to anyone whosoever found ignorant in our endeavour to safeguard the rights and security of the innocent public,” the communiqué added.
