Dimapur, June 9 (EMN): Wokha Police on Friday felicitated the successful HSLC candidates of Regimental School, DEF Wokha, during a programme held at the office chamber of the superintendent of police (SP), Wokha.
While congratulating the students, SP of Wokha, Aotula T Imchen, urged the students to compete with themselves on a daily basis to progress in life. “In today’s age, there are lots of avenues; work hard to achieve it,” Imchen said.
She also stressed on the harmful effects of drugs and tobacco products on young minds and encouraged the gathering to desist from such evils.
K Soriso, additional SP of Wokha and chairman of the school governing body, in his welcome address, thanked everyone for their tireless efforts and congratulated all successful candidates. He also stressed on proper utilisation of time.
Bijano R Ngullie, who qualified with distinction in English and Social Studies, spoke on behalf of the successful candidates.
The programme was attended by all successful candidates and their parents, students of Class 9 and 10 and all teaching staff of the school. It was mentioned that the school produced a 100% pass percentage for the third consecutive year.
