Dimapur, Oct. 16 (EMN): Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC), Wokha, conducted a health camp at Wokha Town Council (WTC) office on October 15, informed an update from chief medical officer, Wokha.
The health camp, held in collaboration with District AIDS Programme Control Unit, Mobile ICTC, NUN LWS Wokha, and District Vector Borne Office, provided free health services to Wokha Town Council staff, shopkeepers and business establishment owners.
A total of 87 beneficiaries availed services such as general health check up, RBS, ABO RH typing, HIV, HCV, Hbsag, Malaria, Tetanus and Covid-19 vaccine.
Medical officer of Nyiro Primary Health Centre, Dr. Thungjamo Jungio, and Dr. Niya Kath, dermatologist at District Hospital Wokha, along with UPHC staffs, ward ASHA, Mobile ICTC, surveillance worker and Indian Social Responsibility Network team conducted the health camp.
UPHC consultant, Oponthung Kinghen, stated that the health camp was organised to create awareness on various health issues and provide an opportunity for beneficiaries to avail free health services.
