[dropcap]U[/dropcap]CO Bank has opened a new branch office in Kohima on Monday. The branch is located along the Secretariat Road, Merübotsa. It is the sixth branch in Nagaland for the bank and the second for Kohima district. The other four are in Dimapur.
Parliamentary Secretary for Youth Resources & Sports, New & Renewable Energy and Music Task Force, Khriehu Liezietsu, inaugurated the branch.In his address, Parliamentary Secretary Khriehu Liezietsu lauded the bank for their ‘continuous effort in providing quality and better service to the people over the years.’
Stating that only a few banks have set up branch offices in the vicinity of the high school area and Secretariat, where almost all the directorates are located, Liezietsu expressed happiness to the UCO’s board of directors for choosing to open the new branch office in the said location.
“Almost all the directorates and offices have shifted to this area and we expect more offices to be shifting very soon. This new branch office will immensely make it convenient for office goers, particularly the denizens of this locality,” Liezietsu said adding that choosing the location in the first place was aimed at expanding its service to more people.
He also wished the bank success in its ventures as a service provider to the people of Nagaland and beyond.
Zonal manager of Jorhat G Banerjee also delivered a short speech during the event.
