Diphu, Sep. 11 (EMN): In a tragic road accident, two minors died and another was seriously injured when a van turned turtle at Langmili, Saturday Market around 9:30 am under Diphu police station in Karbi Anglong on Sunday.
According to police information, the owner of the vehicle, Augustine Rongphar (driver) had driven to Langmili Tinali within the village, and unknowingly, his minor son and other small children boarded the backside of the vehicle.
Before reaching Langmili Tinali, the van met an accident and turned turtle, in which his five-year-old son Ranbhir Rongphar and six-year-old Shiba Terang, son of Sri Khoya Terang of the same village, sustained grievous injuries and were immediately taken to Diphu Medical College and Hospital. However, the attending doctor declared Shiba Terang as brought dead, and his minor son Ranbhir Rongphar succumbed to his injury during treatment, the police informed.
