Tuluni open angling competition held

Dimapur, July 2 (EMN): Apong from Kohima won the Tuluni Open Angling Competition held on Saturday, July 1 at Musu Angling Club, Hoito village. He walked with a cash prize of Rs. 50,000/-.
Jongpong, who finished second, received Rs. 30,000/- while Sujit pocketed Rs. 10,000 by finishing in the third spot. Sujit also recieved a gift hamper for first catch of the day. Third runners up winner Wati and fourth runners up winner Bapani Haldar of Kolkata received Rs. 5000/- each.
In other categories with a cash prize of Rs. 5000/- each, Hinato, Taliakum, Hopson and Alem Jamir each hooked the biggest Catla, Rohu, Catfish and Grass Carp.
All the winners were presented with a citation certificate each.
A record number of 217 anglers from Nagaland, Assam, Manipur and West Bengal took part in the tournament.
