Dimapur, June 4 (EMN): Leader of Opposition TR Zeliang on Thursday inaugurated TrueNat machine at the Customary Court, Additional Deputy Commissioner’s officein Jalukie, as the special guest.
The machine was donated by Zeliang and cartridges by Zeliang Officer’s Association Nagaland (ZOAN), informed a DIPR update.
Addressing the gathering, Zeliang congratulated the district task force of Peren headed by deputy commissioner (DC) Sentiwapang Aier, medical staff, JAC members, police personnel, and public leaders for their selflessly services for the district. He also extended his gratitude to Molbio Company, Goa and the Distributor Atlantis Healthcare for quick delivery of the machine. He further thanked the Zeliang Officer’s Association for helping with test cartridges.
Zeliang asked the people not to panic but take adequate precautionary measures as advised by the Health department. Since there is no cure yet, the important thing is to test and segregate the positive ones from, he said.
He stated that apart from the Covid-19 test, many other ailments can also be detected through the machine with the use of different cartridges.
Zeliang further called upon the leaders irrespective of political parties and organisations to extend cooperation to the district administration in the fight against the pandemic.
The DC informed that due to certain emerging situation in the district, the inaugural programme could not be conducted at Community Health Centre, Jalukie. On behalf of the district administration, he thanked the Zeliang for rendering his support to the district administration.
The JAC convenor, Dr. Tumda Newme, also expressed his gratitude to Zeliang for his generosity in donating TrueNat machine and his wisdom in responding to the urgent need of the district in particular.
The inaugural function was presided over by Chief Mediacal Officer Dr. Supongmenla Walling while short speech on behalf of Zeliang Officer’s Association was delivered by district evaluation officer, Erangnimbe Thou and vote of thanks was proposed by Additional deputy Commissioner Dr. Tinojongshi Chang.
