Time to work together for permanent peace: Guv

Dimapur, August 29 : Governor PB Acharya has said that he strongly feels that now is the time to work together for a permanent peace in Nagaland and it is taking shape with the signing of Framework agreement with NSCN-IM and Government of India.
Governor in a message today expressed his view that under the dynamic leadership of Modi, it is right time to solve the protracted problem. He appealed to all the political parties, NGOs, students’ organizations and civil societies to take a positive transparent step for meeting the different concerned group leaders to interact for a positive dialogue and for a respectable solution.
Acharya said, all the political parties in a democracy, NGOs and civil organizations have to open up their mind and retrospect what they are doing at this crucial hour to bring all the groups to a negotiating table. “Our action should be transparent to win the confidence of the people of Nagaland. We have to show our capacity and sincerity to convince all the concerned group leaders to have dialogue with Central Government for a permanent solution of Nagaland problem. The civil society, Naga political groups and NGOs have to express themselves unanimously for a respectful solution.”
The Governor hoped that the ongoing visit of President of Myanmar, U Htin Kyaw would help NSCN (K) group come to the table for talks.
Acharya also congratulated the Konyak Union (KU) for their sincere appeal and efforts to bring NSCN (K) to ceasefire agreement with the central government.
