Three Nagaland school students to witness 44th Chess Olympiad

Three Nagaland school students to witness 44th Chess Olympiad
The top three winners and others in Kohima on July 2.

Dimapur, July 2 (EMN): Three Nagaland students qualified from the state to witness the 44th Chess Olympiad AICF and interact with the grandmasters and other elite players at Chennai, Mahabalipuram from July 28 to August 10.

The students were selected through the 44th FIDE Chess Olympiad AICF-Nagaland schools chess tournament, which concluded on July 2 at NCA office, Kohima. The tournament was organised by the Nagaland Chess Association and supported by the government of Tamil Nadu and AICF, a press release informed.

Pulonito Hesso from Coragio School, Kohima secured first position, while Gihuca Chishi P and Jesse Chishi P, both from Carmel Higher Secondary School, Dimapur secured the second and third positions respectively.

It further informed that the AICF will be providing fooding, lodging and reimbursement of travel expenses for the three days from July 28 to the 31st.
