Sisters call on Governor Acharya

A group of Bethany sisters from Nagaland and Manipur led by Sr. Rose Celine BS, Secretary, Bethany Education Society, Mangalore and Sr. Premitha BS, Principal, St Theresa’s School, Bendur, met the Governor of Nagaland and Tripura, Padmanabha Balakrishna Acharya at Circuit House this morning. Sr. Adu Celine BS, from Nagaland honoured the Governor with a traditional Naga shawl.
On being informed about the involvement of Bethany Sisters in Education, Medical Care and Social Work in Nagaland and Tripura, and all other states of Northeast, the Governor expressed appreciation for the work of the sisters in Northeast India. “I appreciate highly your services in the Northeast India, and I thank you for it,” he said. The Governor, who joyfully acknowledged his education in Christian institutions, spent about 15 minutes in friendly interaction with the sisters.
