Several persons awarded on Independence Day in Kohima

Kohima, Aug. 15 (EMN):  Several people were awarded by the chief minister for their distinguished service on the 76th Independence Day celebration at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Plaza on Monday in Kohima.

As announced on Republic Day 2022 earlier this year, the Governor’s Gold Medal was awarded to Vineet Kumar, ADC, Nagirimora, Mon; Manojkumar A, SP (Crime), PHQ; Vishika Achumi, I/c, SOT, Dimapur;  Dr. Anungla Aier, chairman, Anthropological Society of Nagaland; Rajkumar M, DFO, Kohima; Kewizun Zeliang, Addl. SP (Comm.), NPTO; Y Akito Sema, Electrical Division, Dimapur; Dr. Nyanthung Kikon, Dy. Director and state nodal officer, Integrated Disease Surveillance Program (IDSP).

As announced on Independence Day 2021, Governor’s Medal Award was handed over to Temsuyangba Ao, DEF, Dimapur; Tepunol Yore, district project officer, Land Resources, Wokha; Nirie-e Nisa, executive engineer, office of the Chief Engineer, PHED; M Rollan Lotha, chief operating officer (Programmes), NSRLM, RD; T Ado Yanlem, Addl. SP, Mon.

The Govenor’s Commendation Certificate recipients were Arindam Sinha, receptionist, Nagaland House Guwahati; Moasunep K Jingru , EAC, Seyochung Kiphire; Menuolhoulie Yhome, DB Gr. II, DC office, Kohima; N Abel Kikon, inspector and I/c State Crime Police Station; Vilavotuo, chowkidar, Office of the Commissioner, Nagaland;  Vekhoto Tetseo, CDPO, Chozuba; Ato Kesiezie, night chowkidar, Industrial Training Institute; Mhathung Humtsoe, Rtd. nursing assistant, Lakhuti village, Wokha; Dr. Holiba A Anar, medical officer, District Hospital Kiphire; Dr. C Furkumzuk, Sr.GIS analyst, Nagaland GIS and Remote Sensing Centre; Janak Raj Sharma, Jamadar, Home department, Nazarat Branch; P Ongchi, Khiamniungan, subedar major, VG, Tuensang sadar; T Imdong Phom, advisor, Phom Literature Board; and C Noklem Konyak, village council chairman, Longwa village, Mon.

Temsuyangba Ao, UBSI, DEF was awarded the Union Home Minister Medal for excellence in investigation for the year 2021.

As announced on Independence Day 2020, N Chumdamo Jamio, DIG, IR North, Kohima was awarded the

President’s Police Medal while the same was also awarded to M Rovisie Nyuwi, Commandant, 12th NAP Bn (IR), Chingtok, Longleng and Vipin Yhoshu, Inspector, DEF, Mokochung as announced on 2022.
