DIMAPUR — A one-day seminar on the Union Budget 2024-25 titled ‘Critical analysis and way forward for the Indian economy’ was organised by the research cell of Yingli College, Longleng, in collaboration with the college’s Department of Economics on Feb. 23 at Borgohain Hall.

During the seminar, Dr. Mithilesh Kumar Jha, assistant professor, Department of Economics, discussed the importance of a union budget in India, a DIPR report stated. Konchem, assistant professor, highlighted the budget 2024-25 and said that the government’s humane and inclusive approaches to development is a marked and deliberate departure from the earlier approach of ‘provisioning up-to-village level.’

Konchem also pointed out that the development programmes in the last ten years have targeted each and every household and individual, through housing for all, electricity for all, cooking gas for all, bank accounts and financial services for all, in record time.
