DIMAPUR — A memorandum of understanding (MoU) under corporate social responsibly (CSR) was signed between Bank of Baroda and Nagaland Police on Feb. 23 where special police forces salary package was introduced.

Some of the major benefits under the scheme include free personal accident insurance benefits for all salary personnel on-duty and off-duty, higher education cover for the wards of police personnel, transportation of mortal remains, PAI cover from age between 18 to 80 years or up to the age of retirement and inclusion of “death in active operation in personnel accident insurance,” a DIPR report stated.

The signing of this MoU will go a long way in promoting the financial wellbeing of the police personnel and assured insurance in times of accidents and fatalities, it stated.
