Rupin Sharma attends Sazolie College Sports Meet
DIMAPUR — Director General of Police (DGP) Nagaland, Rupin Sharma attended the day-2 of the 18th Sazolie College Sports Meet, where competitions were held for various disciplines namely football, volleyball, basketball, futsal, kho-kho, tunnel ball, track and field, badminton, table tennis, carrom, chess, traditional games, arm wrestling and fitness.
Speaking at the event held in the Vineizono Hall, the special guest encouraged students to maintain a healthy body for a healthy mind.
Sharma said that in sports, one must have attributes like a healthy body, competitive spirit and learn to accept victory and defeat graciously.
Stressing the need to maintain good health and to abstain from substance abuse such as alcohol, tobacco and drugs, the police officer urged the students to report if any of their loved ones are taking drugs so that they can get rid of bad habits.
The five-day sports meet, which concluded on March 1, was held Jotsoma village ground.
