DIMAPUR — The NSCN (IM) has raised concerns over a recent ‘out of context’ news story published on a news portal on March 1.
The report, which was about a ‘tense stand-off’ between the NSCN (IM) cadres and Assam Rifles near Patkai Christian College, “happened more than one decade ago and for no reason this non-existing standoff was made to go viral,” the NSCN (IM) stated in a press release on Monday.
“It is highly unethical for media persons to sensationalise news report that doesn’t exist at all,” it asserted, adding that the NSCN holds no responsibility for such baseless news going viral.
