Dimapur, Jan. 18 (EMN): In a succor to students who have not been vaccinated, the Rising People’s Party (RPP) has urged those students to appear for their offline tests/ exams without fear of persecution from the school/ college authorities stating that the party would stand for such persecuted students till the end.

RPP has issued a statement following receipt of numerous complaints from desperate parents alleging that some schools in Dimapur and Kohima were coercing students to take Covid -19 vaccination. It added that some students were threatened that they would not be allowed to sit for offline tests/ exams if they are not vaccinated.

“To take or not to take vaccination is an individual choice. No schools or colleges can disallow unvaccinated students to sit for exams/tests. To do such would be illegal,” RPP stated.

Stating that it already has the names of the educational institutions trying to actively implement the mandatory vaccination policy of the state government, RPP has requested such institutions to desist from unlawful activities. It also warned to file police complaints if its appeal fell on deaf ears.

Meanwhile, RPP has requested the parents of all such persecuted students to contact the grievances cell of the party on phone no. 7005633696.
