Rescues 12 minors and one woman
Dimapur, Oct. 8 (EMN): Continuing the fight to detect illegal migrants, rohingyas, human traffickers, unauthorised hawking, begging, etc., the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) apprehended six Bangladeshi and rescued 12 minors and one lady from different stations from Sep. 30 till Oct. 6 over NFR.
The NFR in an update informed that on Oct. 4, the RPF team of Badarpur conducted a routine check at Bihara Railway station and apprehended 6 Bangladeshis including four men and 2 females.
The individuals upon interrogation confessed that they entered India illegally after failing to provide any valid documents.
They were then brought to RPF/Post/Badarpur and handed over to officer in-charge/Government Railway Police/Badarpur for further legal action.
Also, the RPF team during routine checks rescued 12 minors and one woman at Badarpur, Kumarghat, Dimapur, Katihar and Hasimara stations.
RPF staff deployed at stations and trains are said to be very vigilant against illegal migrants, rohingyas and suspected persons involved in human trafficking.
