Konyak Nagas, the fourth group in the ongoing series of ten-day Tribal Community Learning Programme (TCLP), organized by NEZCC culminated today here at NEZCC complex.
NEZCC with its main objective to address the challenges of modernity and the resultant impact in the society, especially on the urban youth, has organized the series in order to provide fruitful traditional knowledge.
During the closing function, resource person and retired DC L.T Konyak appreciated the NEZCC for organizing the trainings, saying such programmes should be held in every headquarters of Nagaland and provide cultural and traditional knowledge of forefathers through experienced elders who still live in villages.
Expressing that the youngsters of today, are out of touch with the traditional way of life, L.T Konyak noted that such training programmes would help to revive the lost cultures and traditions of every Naga tribe, bestowed by forefathers.
Talinokcha, Joint Director, NEZCC in his brief address said that, “it is high time for the Nagas to review their identity and bring back the age-old values and traditions for a progressive future of Naga society”.
The fourth group consisting three resource persons and 25 students from the Konyak community, successfully completed the training.
During the programme, it was also announced that the fifth group will be from the Kachari community which will commence from July 28 at NEZCC complex.
