Radiant CC, Shillong Mavericks and Whiskers CC enter QF

Silver Cup T20 Tournament

Kohima, March 17 (EMN): Radiant Cricket Club, Shillong Mavericks and Whiskers CC booked their quarter final berth of 8th Silver Cup T20 Cricket Tournament beating their respective rivals in today’s three matches at Jakhama local ground.
In the first match of the day, Radiant CC defeated Friends CC by 39 runs.
Electing to bat first after having winning the toss, Radiant CC set a target of 175 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs.Imli contributed 50 runs while Sedezhalie added 45 runs and Manash remained not out at 23 runs. Joy of Friends CC took 3 wickets while Nazim and Tuju chipped in with 2 wickets each.
However, chasing the target Friends CC were all out for 137 runs in 19.4 overs with Bablu scoring 47 runs followed by Alkash with 27 runs. Radiant CC bowlers Mangkham and Tusenfa took 3 and 2 wickets respectively. Player of the match went to Imli of Radiant CC for scoring 50 runs.

Visiting team from Meghalaya, Shillong Mavericks knocked out home team The Juggernats by 5 wickets in the second match. Juggernats winning the toss, elected to bat and set a target of 103 runs with Harilong scoring 37 runs. Shillong Mavericks bowler Lakhan claimed 4 rival wickets while Raja took 3 wickets.
Chasing the target was comfortable for the visiting team as they achieved it in 17.2 overs losing 5 wickets. Andrew and Debashish scored 18 and 15 runs respectively. Man of the match was claimed by Lakhan for taking 4 wickets and giving away only 15 runs in four overs.

In the last match of the day, Whiskers Crickets Club Dimapur defeated Spinx CC by 9 wickets. Sphinx won the toss and elected to bat first set a target of 107 runs in 20 overs with Imlisunup scoring 32 runs, Khrietsizo 26 runs and Abel 15* runs. Whiskers CC bowler Wapang and Jalal claimed 3 rival wickets each. Chasing the target their batsman achieved it in just 7.4 overs losing one wicket. Tejosel remained not out scoring 62 runs and claimed the man of the match.
