Dimapur, Sep. 3 (EMN): A seminar on soil management and ‘gardening skill development’ was conducted on September 3 at the government high school of Pughoboto in Zunheboto district.
The government publicity agency the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR) gave on Tuesday updates about the programme.
Extra assistant commissioner for Pughoboto, Lichu Fithu delivered the keynote address. She was stated to have told the gathering to learn from the activities.
Subdivision officer for Soil & Water Conservation Rokosetuo, no surname given, talked about soil wealth and demonstrated vermi-composting, the IPR stated.
Agriculture officer Myanthung Patton conducted a session on broccoli, cabbage, onion, coriander, pea etc. During the programme, seeds were distributed by the department, the updates stated.
The programme was sponsored by department of Soil & Water conservation, Agriculture and Industries & Commerce, the IPR informed.
