With the aim to come together for a cause and bond the odds to support, inform, push-pull each section of the inhabitants envisioning an acceptable arrangement for our society, a three day Volleyball Tournament under the theme “Bonding the Odds” organized by the Drug Demand Reduction Unit (Rehab Centre) and Short Stay Home for Women & Girls under Prodigals’ home got underway today at After Care Centre (Men’s Rehab) Thilixu Village, Dimapur. “In a materialistic world it is difficult to show concern and we do not want to come out of our comfort zone” lamented chief guest Dr. Loso Chalai, Chairman, Immanuel College, Dimapur.  Addressing the players he opined that young people has lots to do and a great capability to change the society, he also expressed his joy to see the participation of the youth in the act of social concern.
Highlighting on the noble cause through this tournament, he said in a situation where people do not understand the other person’s need this kind of tournament which brings people together will awaken the churches where they can be a torch bearer to remove the negligence by the society.
Addressing the inmates of the rehab centre, he encouraged them not to be troubled as they have the support of their families in all their walks of life and use God’s given gift in a good way keeping away from all substance. Sports is a game which brings people from all walks of life together under one platform with sound mind, body and soul so he hoped that they will be reformed and be a transformer to other people by not letting their will end here but nurture the idea and extend their help to people in need.
