The Pochury Hoho comprising of frontal organizations, range presidents and village council chairmen, has deliberated on the various points during its meeting held on March 27 at Pochury Hoho Office at Meluri. According to a press release issued by president Pochury Hoho Penthu Pochury and general secretary Jursie Pojar, in the meeting, the house dwelled on NST Bus accident occurred on March 13 and expressed profound sorrow for the tragedy that killed 12 passengers of Jessami village including a driver of Sutsu village and appealed to the State Government for compensation to the relatives of deceased and also to the injured persons.
The meeting also expressed that the department had detailed an off-road bus on duty and met with the unfortunate accident.
Therefore, the Hoho strongly appealed the department to give more attention in rural areas and issue new buses for smooth services .
In regard to the celebration of the Silver Jubilee of Pochury Tribe Recognition on April 21, the house fervently appealed to all the village council chairmen to submit the contribution and collect Rs. 50 per household as per the house tax paid in the year 2014 on April 7 without taking any excuse. It has also resolved that, for the meeting of FNR at Dimapur, the house shall entrust the Pochury Hoho Dimapur to attend the meeting.
During the meeting, VCC Kanjang village, Nyuwiesie Pojar had highlighted about the 34 paddy field huts of Kangjang village in 3 areas were burnt down by the Soraphung villagers of Manipur state on March 18 without any reason.
However, the matter was now under the examination of the joint team from both sides of Manipur and Nagaland government, stated in a release.
The Pochury Hoho also informed that the meeting has been re-fixed on April 7 due to less of quorum attended on March 27.
