A note issued by concerned citizens on Tuesday appealed to commuters and the public to be cautious and to take alternative routes.

The note informed travellers that the road leading to Phek from Pfutsero via Sakraba, where ‘two-lane construction’ work is underway, had been ‘completely cut off’ by landslides ‘in the chainage 31 km which falls between Pholami and Khomi village, on the night of September 16,’ the note stated.

According to the updates, the vehicular passage is now ‘completely cut off.’

‘Those who are planning to take this route to and fro between Pfutsero and Phek are advised to take the alternate route of the state highway via Chizami till it is cleared by the construction workers of Madhucon Ltd who are on the job at hand cutting fresh road at the affected site,’ the updates informed.
