Dimapur, Sep. 17 (EMN): A one-year and two months old Asiatic Bear was “donated” to the Nagaland Zoological park on Monday, Sep. 16, in Dimapur by the press secretary to Nagaland’s deputy chief minister.
“According to Hachio Patton the bear was ‘a gift by a well-wisher villager who had handed the bear named Babloo as a cub,’” according to a note that was received here. Patton, the secretary, took care of the bear till it turned one-year two months old and handed the big cat over to the Nagaland Zoological park in Dimapur “to advocate against hunting for wild animals and set an example for others to follow,” the note stated.
