Peren Police registers 13 criminal cases

Dimapur, May 4 (EMN): Peren Police has registered 13 criminal cases and arrested 15 persons from January to April 30. An update from the senior superintendent of police, Peren, stated that the cases were registered under IPC and other local laws and other crimes.

According to police report, four persons were arrested in connection with a murder case, while one person was arrested in connection with theft. One person was also arrested in connection with NDPS Act and recovered two soap cases suspected to be a contraband brown sugar weighing approximately 16 grams.

Police also registered two cases in connection with Arms Act and arrested one person. Police recovered two nos. 7.65mm pistol with magazines and 42 nos. of different calibers live rounds.

Under NLTP Act 1989, police arrested eight persons and recovered 65 litres of MC Rum, 200 litres of can Beer and 46.25 litres AC Black whisky.

Further, the police arrested 15 persons for non possession of ILP under BEFR Act.

Besides the aforesaid arrest and recovery, Peren Police personnel recovered three motorbikes and one Scooty. It also recovered two mobile phones, which were handed over to the rightful owners. The district police personnel also recovered one heavy vehicle truck, three autorickshaw. Further, it rescued two minor boys from Assam and re-united with their family.

In view of the above circumstances, the district police has informed the public to get in touch directly with the Peren police through “Call your Cop” mobile App, which was officially launched by DGP Nagaland, T John Longkumer.
