Pedalling for greener world touches Dimapur

Ujjal of greenonwheel.com, who is on a whole India cycle expedition to spread the message of Greener and Cleaner India reached Dimapur on Thursday, was received by members of ‘Green Succession of Nagaland (Greensons) Dimapur. Ujjal started his journey from Sunderbans, West Bengal, where he has covered 21,300 kms on his bicycle, spreading the message of ‘Plant trees and save nature’. He has visited 21 states and 4 Union territories.
On his way, he delivered discourses in schools and colleges, universities, eco clubs, NGOs and different institutions.
Incidently, he is prepared to talk to the students of Patkai Christian College, Dimapur too.
He urged the people of Nagaland to plant atleast one tree in their life and nourish it for two-three years.
Ujjal’s message and noble attempt was appreciated and loved by many people all over India.
Ujjal will continue his journey to the state capital tomorrow.
Surprisingly, according to the cyclists he doesn’t have any major expenses. His food and stay is taken care of by schools, forest department, NGOs whom he met on his way without any pre-arrangements.
His onward journey will pass Imphal, Mizoram, Tripura through Bangladesh and he is supposed to conclude his tour in Kolkotta within a month.
Ujjal plans to spread the same message internationally through the same media in the near future, where he intends to cover a journey of 5 lakh and 20 thousand kms approximately in a10-year time.
