PDFL: Barak FA blank NASA; NZSA, Native Feathers, Puiteing FC register wins
Dimapur, Oct. 14 (EMN): Barak FA, Northern Zeme Sports Association (NZSA), Native Feathers and Puiteing FC registered wins in their respective matches at the ongoing first Peren District Football League (PDFL) organised by Peren District Football Association (PDFA) at Jalukie ‘B’ village ground on Friday.
Playing the first match of the day, Barak FA blanked Nsong Area Sports Association (NASA) 6-0. The first goal came from the boots of Barakcaptain Kenumdi in the 13th minute of the game. Namduanbou doubled the score in the 26th minute, while Khamjai scored in the 66th and 69th minutes. The fifth goal was scored by Irabeubo in the 72nd minute and the last goal from Barak FA came again from their captain Kenumdi in the 89th minute.
In the second match, NZSA defeated Prime FC 3-1.The first goal for NZSA came through the boots of Ziepwa in the 16th minute, while the second and third goals were scored by Ilungrai.
Lamginmang of Prime FC scored the lone goal for the team.
In the third match, Native Feathers downed Benreu FC 5-2. The first goal for Native Feathers was scored by Lungmedau in the 13th minute, which was doubled by Keyigogong in the 30th minute.
Samlamgumlung of Benreu FC came back to score a goal in the 38th minute. A few minutes later, Khiuwangbo of Native Feathers converted from a spot kick. The second goal for Benreu FC came again in the 51st minute from Kethozhapu. However, Keyigogong and Khangkinwi of Native Feathers added a goal each in the 70th and 81st minutes respectively.
In the fourth match, Puiteing FC upset Lekie Mtei FC 4-2 to stand at the top of the league points table. Puiteing FC opened their account in the 11th minute of the game which came through the boots of Paolenngam and Kawililakbouin added another goal in the 13th minute.
After the breather, Lekie Mtei came stronger and Haileuyibe Iranggau scored their first goal. The equaliser goal came from Hainsiugongbe who converted it from a spot kick.
Puiteng FC captain Jangminlen came back to add another goal for the team in the 62nd minute while the 4th goal came from Paolenngam in the 90+2 minutes of the match.
