The 44th youth convention-cum-music fest of the Pesocha Baptist Church Council (PBCC) held on the theme ‘You are my witness’ (Isaiah 43:10) and hosted by Nerhema Baptist Church culminated on Sunday.
The pastor of Khedi Baptist Church, Dr. Ruokuovilie Sachü, who was the speaker of the morning session, stated that God’s purpose for the Christians is not to be ambassadors or have monopoly over others culturally, socially or politically but to be the ‘light of the world’ for the good news of Christ, an update from PBCC youth stated.
Travelling pastor of PBCC, Hetuo Khrodi, delivered greetings, while Nerhema Baptist Church and Chiechama Baptist Church presented choral pieces and Chüziema Baptist Church presented a song and Tuophema Baptist Church presented a drama.
The programme was led by Khrieneituo Kense.
Meanwhile a new team of PBCC youth was nominated led by Neikielie Rupreo from Chiechama as president alongwith others. The new team was announced by search committee convenor, Seyiekhrietuo Sekhose, and the dedicatory prayer was offered by Rev. Dr. Gelhou Seyie, pastor of Touphema Baptist Church.
A total of 1140 delegates from 24 churches registered for the programme. The next convention would be hosted by Botsa Baptist Church in 2025, the update informed.
