: As a step to address the queries from citizens, a quarantine portal will be made available online, an official informed on Sunday.

Principal Director of School Education, and a team member of Covid-19 war room, Shanavas C stated that in the Covid-19 Nagaland dashboard, “we are trying to have a quarantine portal, which will have data correction and response/reporting team (DCRT) in all the districts”.

The DCRT in each district will have a team leader designated by deputy commissioners, preferably, the administrative officer or officers of department, and its members will be district information officer of the NIC, he said.

Each district will provide them with a base data on quarantine centre-related information including people working there. On receiving the information, the team will approve and upload on the portal. On a daily basis, new additions and discharge of people at the quarantine centres will be corrected by the DCRT, to minimise the burden of the doctors, he added.

The principal director also informed about the ongoing online classes stating that initially, private teachers came forward, particularly for the high school students; and the department did not get the response from the government teachers ‘as expected’.

However, for most of the higher secondary sector, topics were covered by the government teachers in the month of May. “As for the second batch, it can be anyone, who has subject knowledge, can make video and upload it,” he said.
