NU vice chancellor launches a book in Tenyidie

DIMAPUR — The vice chancellor of Nagaland University, Prof. Jagdish K Patnaik, officially launched a book titled ‘Nhane,’ published by the Tenyidie department at the Kohima campus on December 15.

An update from NU informed that Dr. Petekhrienuo Sorhie, head of Tenyidie department, presented an introduction of the book and shared insights and perspectives, while Dr. Metuo Liezietsu chaired the ceremony and Dr. Khruvolu said an invocation prayer. It added that scholars and students showcased their literary prowess by reciting poems from the book.

Report stated that the event was attended by pro-vice chancellor of Kohima campus, Prof. GT Thong, and other distinguished scholars and personalities.

The event concluded a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Mimi K Ezung, who also expressed gratitude to all the participants for making the programme a grand success.

Meanwhile, the PRO of Nagaland University, Ashish Kumar, expressed satisfaction at the event’s outcome and highlighted the collaborative efforts and dedication put forth by the faculty, scholars, and students of the Tenydie department.

It added that the launch of a book ‘Nhane’ served as a testament to the scholarly achievements and vibrant literary culture fostered at Nagaland University’s Kohima campus to further enrich the academic landscape.
