Dimapur, Nov. 01 (EMN): The Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) was launched at Chuchuyimlang, RD block on Oct. 31 at Town Hall, Chuchuyimlang under Mokokchung district.
During the launching programme, BDO RD Block, Chuchuyimlang Wangom Konyak highlighted departmental activities for the uplift of the rural poor and also urged the village representatives to extend their full support in order to ensure the success of the mission.
Branch Manager SBI Chuchuyimlang Zulutoshi Ao stressed on the importance of unity, transparency and proper maintenance of records for the mission to thrive and also assured that the bank is ready to extend their co-operation.
Also addressing the gathering, branch managers of NSCB Ltd. and NABARD assured their support to the community, provided they maintain and follow proper norms and principles as laid down by the mission. They also urged the staff of NSRLM to give proper guidance on the bank credit linkage to the SHGs.
The program was attended by BDO cum Block Mission Manager, RD block, Chuchuyimlang; branch managers of SBI Chuchuyimlang; NSCB Ltd and NABARD Mokokchung; DRDA project officers; staff of District Mission Management Unit (DMMU) NSRLM, DRDA, Mokokchung; Block staff of Chuchuyimlang NSRLM; village councils; VDBs and existing SHGs representatives from seven villages under RD block.
The program was chaired by area coordinator, Imyangerla Imsong, while assistant district program manager, Bendangtoshi delivered welcome address and introduction of NSRLM.
The program concluded with a brief discussion with the participants.
