DIMAPUR, MARCH 16

The NSCN-IM has demanded the chairman of the Cease Fire Monitoring Group (CFMG) to rein in the arrogant Assam Rifles to properly educate them the mutual benefit of disciplining under the current Cease Fire Ground Rules (CFGR). This statement of the NSCN-IM has come following the alleged raid of the residence of V. Zholia, Steering Committee’s Executive Member on Monday at 4.30 am at Naga United village by the Assam Rifles.
The NSCN-IM in a statement said that the “incorrigible” Assam Rifle has again proved allegiance to their “notorious” routine and keeping the Cease Fire Ground Rules (CFGR) under their foot when they raided the house of V. Zholia, Steering Committee’s Executive Member.
“It is appalling that, despite several meetings and discussions on the issue of respecting the Cease Fire Ground Rules (CFGR), Assam Rifles continues to randomly defy and trample upon the very Agreement that create peaceful and conducive environment for the stability and progress of “political negotiation” between the Government of India and Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim,” the NSCN-IM statement added.
