ACAUT lauds health department for exposing back door appointment

The ACAUT today lauded the ‘bold and ethical’ stand of the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Department led by its Principal Director, Dr. G. Kemp, for having exposed the backdoor appointment of 119 employees when there were no sanctioned posts. “This is the worst case scenario considering the fact that these people were appointed as regulars. It is also interesting to note that 89% of the appointments were made between the years 2007-2009. At a time when the State government is facing financial deficit after another, the show cause notice has not only brought to fore illegal and unethical practices in appointments but the rampant nepotism and favouritism in the system.”
Media Cell, ACAUT Nagaland in a statement said that the stand of the Health and Family Welfare Department is culture-changing, breaking the myth that there are no credible men and women in the bureaucracy in Nagaland today.
“Since the cat is out of the bag, it is only logical that the department pursue the case with outmost sincerity without any fear or favour.”
The ACAUT, representative of right-thinking Nagas and the student community assured its support to the department in its endeavour to fight the corruption of illegal appointments.
The ACAUT also appealed to all the departments to take a cue from Health and Family Welfare Department and initiate the same.
