Naga People’s Front (NPF) of Phek division has expressed concern on the action of some leaders, who are misguiding innocent public by way of registering their names using Aadhaar card and bank account details in certain villages especially under 19 Phek Assembly Constituency (AC) in the pretext of availing pension scheme.
In a clarification, an update from NPF 19 Phek AC media cell stated that such scheme was never heard of at the state or centre levels. It claimed that some individuals have already received transfer amount of INR 1000 in their account from certain VVIP.
On probing into the matter, NPF party discovered that the so called pension scheme was a hoax, masterminded to register people under BJP Karnavati towards BJP membership drive.
The NPF party, therefore, stated that such false and blatant fraudulent activity from public leaders was uncalled for and further cautioned the public especially under 19 Phek AC to be alert and remain vigil of such fictitious activity in the future.
“If such scheme really do exists, why would it only apply only to 19 Phek AC and not the entire state of Nagaland,” it questioned.
“This is one serious and dangerous matter for the general public which needs to be condemned and educate the innocent public irrespective of party lines and colours,” it added.
It further affirmed that NPF, on its part, would fight tooth and nail till the truth is revealed and book the culprit behind the said nefarious activity even post election and justice brought to the public.
