Dimapur, Dec. 30: While supporting the charter of demands initiated by AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi, Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) demanded that the ban on Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes be recalled till sufficient new notes are printed and to withdraw all rules floated after demonetisation.

NPCC president, K Therie today demanded to double MGNREGA wages and provide job cards to MGNREGA employees. He also demanded that ration cards and monthly rations be delivered as despatched from GoI. Besides, he demanded to renew cashless BPL health cards and to urgently cover those areas that have not been covered.

Meanwhile, he urged Congress rank and file to rise and file nominations to fight in all the wards and councils against demonetization and corruption to provide clean councils and to protect life and property.

NPC also appealed to Nagaland urban voters to rise and support the objectives it has for the people saying, ‘If one is voting for NPF-BJP, he/she is endorsing demonetisation and corruption. If one is voting for Independent, he/she is voting for nothing (no issue). If one is voting for Congress, he/she is rejecting demonetization and corruption.
