Wins for D Khel United and R.S Challengers
Kohima, Nov. 24 (EMN): D Khel United and R.S Challengers won their respective league matches at the ongoing 5th edition of the 10th Northern Angami-1 T20 cricket bash played at the KVC ground, Ziekezou, Kohima village on Friday.
In the first match, D Khel United beat Chedema Strikers by seven wickets
Winning the toss, United elected to bowl first and restricted Chedema Strikers for 104 runs all out in 18.1 overs. Vimezo Chakruno (26) contributed the highest runs for the team, while Khrieketoulie Sachu and Mengu took four and three wickets respectively for United.
In reply, United managed to reach the target in 14 overs losing just three wickets. Kekhrieseilie (23) and Khrietoulie Sachu (13 not out) was the highest run scorer for the team.
Khrieketoulie Sachu of United with four wickets and 13* runs was awarded the man of the match.
In the second match, R.S Challengers beat Keyake-Phezoucha Pirates by 17 runs.
R.S Challengers electing to bat first scored a target of 141 runs losing seven wickets in 20 overs. Denis scored 57 runs in 41 balls and Imli with 25 runs from 33 balls for Challengers team, while Khoseto took two wickets in four overs for the Pirates.
In the run chase, Keyake-Phezoucha Pirates managed to score only 124 runs losing seven wickets in 20 overs. Akash scored 29 runs for Pirates, while Neibu took three wickets and Imli took two wickets for Challengers.
Denis with his half century was adjudged as the man of the match.
