Dimapur, April 27 (EMN): Chairman of the Nagaland Khadi Village Industry Board (NVKIB), Dr. Neiphrezo Keditsu, has underscored the necessity for Naga public to be conscious about their health and well-being in order to achieve the targeted goals.
Dr. Neiphrezo stated this during the block-level health mela held at Chiephobozou CHC in Kohima district on April 27. The event was jointly organised by the District Health Society, Kohima, in collaboration with the State Health Authority, Food Safety (FSSAI), Youth Affairs and Sports, Ayush, School Education, Information and Broadcasting, Women and Child Development, Pancahayati Raj Institution, Directorate of Urban Development and Directorate of Art and Culture, and supported by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, government of India, stated a DIPR report.
He thanked the medical fraternity and line department for their noble initiative in holding such a mela for the benefit of the public, especially in the rural areas. He also encouraged the public to avail the facilities of modern equipment and facilities that are being provided at their doorstep.
Chairing the programme, the chief medical officer (CMO) of Kohima, Dr. Vezokholu Theyo, highlighted the aims and objectives of holding health mela, while short speeches were delivered by ADC Chiephobozou, Vekhoyi Chakhesang, and chairman of HCMC, Kevipusa Kizeo.
Earlier, Dr. Selhounyu, senior medical officer of Chiephobozou CHC, has highlighted the key services that are available at the centre.
Report also stated that stalls on reproductive child health, NCD, communicable diseases, eye care, general awareness, ENT, and dental were put up for the public during the health mela.
Altogether, 24 villages under Chiephobozou block attended the health mela.
