NFR adds another pair of special trains for festive season

Dimapur, Sep. 27 (EMN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to operate one more pair of festival special trains between Jogbani – Anand Vihar Terminal – Jogbani to facilitate the passengers during puja rush.

An update from the NFR issued on Sep. 20 informed that the special train will run for four trips each in both the directions.

Festival special train no. 04010 (Anand Vihar Terminal – Jogbani) will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal at 11:45 pm on all Tuesdays from Oct. 19 till Nov. 8 to reach Jogbani at 5:20 am on Thursdays. Festival special train No. 04009 (Jogbani – Anand Vihar Terminal) will depart from Jogbani at 9:00 am on all Thursdays from Oct. 20 till Nov. 10 to reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 4:05 pm on the next day.

During its both ways journey, the festival special train is said to run via Araria, Katihar Jn, Barauni Jn, Gorakhpur and Moradabad stations with 18 sleeper class coaches,four general coaches and two luggage vans.

The update also informed that train no. 15777/15778 (New Jalpaiguri – Alipurduar – New Jalpaiguri) tourist express which is presently running on Saturdays and Sundays will now run daily from Oct. 1. The timings and stoppages of the train is said to remain the same as per its existing programme. With resumption of daily services, more tourists will be able to have a glimpse of the beauty of Himalayan foothills during train journeys.

The details of stoppages and timings of these trains are available at IRCTC website and are also being notified in various platforms of NFR.

Passengers have been requested to verify the details before undertaking their journey.
