Neiketoulie Belho creates two records at 65th KVSA meet

Kohima, Jan. 19 (EMN): Neiketoulie Belho of Tsütuonuomia (T) Khel created two new records during the athletic events of the ongoing 65th Kohima Village Sports Association (KVSA) meet organised by Kohima Village Youth Organisation (KVYO) on Wednesday at IG Stadium, Kohima.
In the men’s 200 m race, Belho emerged as the champion after setting a new record of 23.10 sec. Vivor Kesiezhie of Lhisemia (L) Khel finished second in 23.80 sec, while Seyievizo Kire of Dapfhütsumia (D) Khel won the third position at 24.22 sec respectively.
Belho also set the record for men’s broad jump by jumping a new record of 6.84 m. Mhasiletuo Yhome of L Khel and Seyievizo Kire from D Khel secured the second and third positions at 6.29 m and 5.80 m respectively.
In women’s 200 m race, Rüduolhounuo Belho (T Khel) 29:78 sec, Akhrienuo Linyü (L Khel) 29:97 sec and Dziesengunuo Solo (T Khel) 30:19 sec secured the first, second and third respectively.
Kevise Belho (T Khel) 4:36:84 emerged as the winner of the men’s 1500 m race. Thejakhrielie Mechülho, Pfuchatsumia (P) Khel 4:39:46 and Khriebeilie Sorhie (L Khel) 4:43:57 placed second and third position.
Khriezelhounuo Keyho (P Khel) 5:51:91 won the women’s 1500 m race, while Dziesekuonuo Linyü (L Khel) 5:59:50 and Ruokuosanuo Kire (D Khel) 6:01:90 stood second and third.
L Khel team won the women’s 4×100 m relay race in 58.34 sec, while T Khel was the runner-up at 59.06 sec.
With 18 medals consisting nine gold, five silver and four bronze, T Khel continues to lead the medal tally. P Khel are trailing behind with four gold, three silver and three bronze, L Khel are in third with two gold, eight silver and two bronze and D Khel at the bottom with two gold and four bronze.
Dr. Neikiesalie Kire and Khriehu Liezietsu, the two advisors from Kohima village were seen enjoying the events at IG Stadium.
