NDPP welcomes decision to continue alliance with BJP in 2023 Nagaland election
Dimapur, July 29 (EMN): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has welcomed the decision to continue the NDPP-BJP alliance on the 40:20 seat-sharing formula in the upcoming election to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly in 2023.
In a press statement, the party congratulated the chief minister for using his wisdom and political acumen in continuing the alliance, as well as lauded the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and party president J P Nadda for the move, saying that it confirms the trust and confidence they have on the CM.
Maintaining that the NDPP always has confidence in the commitment of the BJP, it said this announcement would put to rest many doubts and rumours that have arisen months ahead of the polls.
It also expressed hope of returning power after the next election under the dynamic leadership of the two parties and carry forward their commitments and visions for the state.
“Our commitment of providing a Government that is transparent, accountable and accessible will continue to be our slogan and thrust. We look forward to taking Nagaland into a new era!” read the press statement.
