Dimapur, Dec. 20 (EMN): President of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Chingwang Konyak has officially inaugurated its divisional office in Zunheboto on December 19 followed by a consultative meeting at Town Hall, Zunheboto.
Recalling the circumstances leading to the formation of the party, Chingwang Konyak said the situation in Nagaland is becoming worst due to poor governance for which a change is needed to bring about reforms and development in the state.
While lamenting that the present NPF government has failed to work upto the expectation of the electorates, Konyak exhorted that transparency and accountability is inevitable in providing good governance which sadly is missing under the present government. Konyak also assured that the party would fight against corruption, centralisation of power and restore rule of law in the state.
Working president, Alemtemshi Jamir has exhorted Nagas to have determination and spirit to change saying NDPP would provide a platform for all round development and progress in the state. Alemtemshi Jamir also stated that rich are becoming richer and poor the poorer and feeling of equity was sadly missing in the present government.
Former minister and party vice president, Dr. Chumben Murry has assured that NDPP would provide strong leadership and good governance. Dr. Chumben has urged the people to support and give NDPP a chance to lead the Naga people for new and brighter Nagaland.
KT Sukhalu has also urged the people to be a part of the change for betterment saying that NDPP is practically local with a global vision.
