NCA official inspects cricket infrastructure in Wokha

DIMAPUR — Watinungsang Jamir, joint secretary of the Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) and in-charge of Wokha and Mokokchung, visited Wokha on Wednesday to oversee the infrastructure development initiated by the NCA to promote the game of cricket in the district.

During his visit, he inspected the cricket practice pitch located at the local ground in Wokha and interacted with the Wokha District Cricket Association (WDCA) officials. He took note of their grievances and discussed future development activities to be undertaken for the promotion of cricket in the district.

Jamir further encouraged the WDCA officials to exert more effort in promoting and producing a women’s cricket team, acknowledging the district’s potential in nurturing women cricket players. He also commended the current WDCA officials for their efforts in undertaking various activities to encourage youngsters in the field of cricket.

Jamir also assured full cooperation and support for the promotion of cricket in the district on behalf of the NCA.
